Come and discover one of the most beautiful villages in Italy in the heart of the Piceno land: Offida. The village is famous for the Carnival and for the production of Pecorino wine.

​

 

PROGRAM:

meeting of the group in front of the church of Santa Maria della Rocca that we will visit together with the crypt.

The church stands on a cliff to the west of Offida. It's a Romanesque-Gothic brick temple, lined with elegant travertine pilasters and decorated at the top with a double row of trefoil arches.

At the end of the visit we will move by car to Cantina di Paglia farm: it's a bio-building project where the walls were made with self-produced straw bales and embedded in the wood of the supporting structure.
Here the owner will tell us about his green building project and will explain the winemaking techniques. Then we will take a walk in the nature among the rows of the vineyard, the olive trees and in the beautiful field of sunflowers (depending on the period of flowering) to admire the surrounding landscape that sweeps across the hills of Offida between the blue of the sky and the green of the cultivated fields.
Finally, we'll taste local products and wine produced by the farm itself.

The wines produced by the company are the following: Kalefeno (red), Cocciuto (white), Ubi Bene (brut spumante), Solerzia (white) and Cocciuto special (white).
At the end of the tasting we will still have time to relax in the green of nature and to buy the products of the farm before coming back to Offida.

In Offida we will do an orientation walking tour of the village to discover its symbolic places: the central Piazza del Popolo, the Serpente Aureo theater, the Collegiate church and the historical hospital.

At the end of the walking tour, the group can decide whether to stay in Offida for dinner or for an independent visit.

Duration: about 3 hours.

Participation fee: starting from € 35.00 per person.

The tour will be carried out with a minimum of 2 participants.

The fee includes: entrance to the church of Santa Maria della Rocca, visit to the farm with tasting of wine and typical local products, accompaniment, insurance.

Tour available only in summer (July - September).
